About
After moving to the open Co Down countryside between Seaforde and Ballynahinch,  it seemed an ideal location to bring up an Alaskan Husky pup.  We brought Yuki (Japanese for Snow) to our home the day she was 8 weeks old.  From an early age Yuki always wanted to be the leader of the pack (family) and even though she quietened down eventually, she still tries at regular intervals to become the pack leader. read more

The purpose of this site is to share my experiences of owning an Alaskan Husky(s) so that anybody thinking of getting this type of dog can see what is involved and how it differs from owning a standard house dog.  I will also include links to relevant information as and when I find good sources.

Pups are now starting to understand basic commands and will "sit" when told - They will also walk to heel when walked individually, but when walked as a "pack" all training is ignored.  This will have to be addressed quite soon
